Well Child Care Appointments

Regular well child check-ups are important to monitor your child's growth and development, as well as to discuss important health topics specific to your child's age. Infants and toddlers are seen at more frequent intervals to monitor them closely during this rapid period of change and to insure that they receive their immunizations at the recommended times. We strongly encourage that older children and adolescents get yearly physicals. Well child care appointments are scheduled at 20-minute intervals, longer for extended consultations.

Ill Child Appointments

If your child is ill and you know they need to be seen, you may call for an ill child appointment which typically will be the same day. If you would like assistance in helping make that decision or advice for dealing with the illness or issue, a receptionist will take a message and a nurse will return your call as soon as possible. If your child needs to be seen, you will be given a choice of appointment times available with the doctors that are working that day. Ill child appointments are most often scheduled at 10-minute intervals depending on the nature of the visit.

"Meet-the-Doctor" Appointments

For all new prospective and/or expectant families we offer a "Meet-the-Doctor" appointment without charge.

After-Hours Care

If you have a medical emergency please call 911. For other urgent after-hours needs, one of our pediatricians is always accessible through our answering service. The answering service may be reached directly by calling (708) 386-7554. If you don't hear from the doctor within the hour, please call again. For all non-emergency issues, please use our Doctor Phone-In Hour.

If your child's situation requires emergency care or stitches, you will be referred to an Urgent Care Center or Emergency Room. Our first preference is to use Children's Memorial Hospital ER; another alternative is Loyola University Medical Center ER in Maywood.
